Need help on LLC Partner's Address on Tax Form K1.?
When we register our 2-member LLC 1 member used the LLC's office address as his address eventhough his residence is out of state. When filing for LLC's tax forms like K1, what address should he use? For sure he will file an out of state (State B) income tax return -- is he allowed to use the LLC's address on that return (State B) and use his residence for his in-state (State A) return? How about his Federal Tax Return?
Thanks in advance.

I have seen this before in preparing partnership/LLC returns. There is nothing wrong with reporting the LLC's address in place of the member's address on a K-1. What I have typically done is write C/O (care of) and put the company's name and address under the member's name. The key number on a K-1 that really matters is the social security number so you have flexibility for the address. However, for the member's resident or nonresident individual returns, he should use his primary residence for the address and not the LLC's. Hope this helps.
