Can I go swimming with sunburnt skin after putting on sunblock with SPF 50?
I've got a mild sunburnt on Sunday. It's hot pink and itching like mad now. No peeling so far. I've been moisturizing and applying aloe on it.
Is it advisable for me to go swimming? I would put SPF 50 sunblock on my skin before going into the sun..

I would suggest not. specially if youre burnt to the point were youre itchy. Burnt skin is red because a lot of blood goes to the surface of your body basically cause your cells are damaged. DNA can get damaged and mutated with UV light, to the point where you can get cancer.
if youre skin is red, its because its trying to repair itself, spf50 will not protect it from more damage. UV A is a type of light that gets reflected very well with sunblock, but UV B goes deeper into your epidermis and dermis, damaging even with sunblock.
in fact did you know that when you peel its because, your DNA in the skin cells got so damaged that it would be unsafe to replicate, so your cells go into apoptosis (self-distruction)?... its a defense mechanism the body has to try and prevent harmful mutations .. in this case caused by the sun.

You should be fine swimming. Just remember to keep applying sunblock frequently (especially after being in the water; it washes off easily).
Sometimes swimming will even give you temporary relief from the itching and soreness...

NO! truthfully something over a 30 SPF will no longer be doing lots greater yet stressful your dermis. it particularly is basically a advertising ploy to get you to purchase there product. What the the better variety ability is that there are greater chemical compounds interior the product to annoy you dermis. There are 2 varieties of solar displays. solar block and solar reveal. in case you have sensitized dermis you will possibly want to placed on a solar block.
