How do I find out which University has the best/better program(s) for a particular major?
Like, is there a directory that showcases this, for e.g. Yale Law School is good for Law, University of Florida is good for marine biology, that kind of thing.
Thank you very much!
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoHow do I take notes in language courses?
I know there's the Cornell method for normal lectures and readings.
But how about learning a foreign language?
I've tried many methods which left me with a bunch of scattered papers and no system of going about it.
Just random vocabulary and grammar tips here and there.
Please help.
Thanks! :)

3 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoIs there any citation style/method that doesn't require the page number to be included for in-text citation?
I saw some citations with page number and some without.
But later, I read that it's important to have the page number. Unfortunately I already have a lot of citations done without noting down the page number. So, is there a citation style that doesnt need page numbers? E.g MLA, APA, Chicago,..etc?
Thanks!

4 AnswersDrama1 decade agoCan I touch up my roots with drugstore hair dye considering my hair is colored using salon dye?
I realised it might be too expensive for me to go back to a salon just for a touch-up, but I'm not sure if using drugstore dye like Loreal or Wella would have side-effects on my current color.
Thanks :-)
1 AnswerHair1 decade agoAnyone tried Schwarzkopf Professionals? How was it like?
2 AnswersHair1 decade agoWould you let professionals color your hair for free?
My friend has this offer for me to let some professionals dye my hair for free. It's by Schwarzkopf Professionals.
Have you done this before? How was your experience?
7 AnswersHair1 decade agoCan I go swimming with sunburnt skin after putting on sunblock with SPF 50?
I've got a mild sunburnt on Sunday. It's hot pink and itching like mad now. No peeling so far. I've been moisturizing and applying aloe on it.
Is it advisable for me to go swimming? I would put SPF 50 sunblock on my skin before going into the sun..
6 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoA going to the beach question! Do you put your towel directly on the sand or place a plastic sheet beneath?
After you're done lying around on the beach, any tips for keeping the towel less gritty and full of sand particles?
Thanks!
4 AnswersOther - Destinations1 decade agoDo you write about something you are familiar with, or make things up as you go?
I know many authors write stories set in the very hometown they live in, or a place where they have lived in for a significant period of time.
I tend to write about places I've never been before and imagine up people I've never met, and more often than not run out of steam after the first few chapters. I'm thinking this time to incorporate real-life things I've heard, seen and done into my fiction...but have some difficulties doing so.
Advice appreciated. Thanks!

3 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat is one thing you would love to try but never got around to?
20 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhich language should I learn? Dilemma...?
I've bought Spanish books and dictionaries and audio CDs and have started to learn it by myself. I'm still at the basics but crawling forward.
I'll be starting college this fall. The college I'm going to does not offer Spanish as a foreign language elective, but they have German instead. And since I'd love to learn a conversational foreign language by the time I graduate from college, I'd have to take German.
I couldn't decide if I should continue doing my self-study of Spanish, or convert to German from now on...start studying abit of basic German this summer before going on the proper modules in college. If that's the case, then I'll have to pause my learning of Spanish. (how possible is it to learn TWO foreign languages concurrently?)
Advice appreciated! Thanks.
