how long is a normal scratch/cut wound supposed to sting?
hi
i fell down on an asphalt road -- rough surface -- owch -- 4 hours ago and the wound on my elbow is STILL stinging like mad NOW. it was bleeding, now it's more or less stopped, with bruises around it. i can bend my elbow but it hurts. is this normal?

It depends. It is quite normal for a friction burn to sting for hours but if there is an open wound then i would recomend a doctor. If the cut is quite deep and wide then see a doctor.
Make sure you clean the wound with antiseptic, this will sting as well lol!

depends if its a laceration or a normal scratch wound.
if its just a scratch then just clean it with tappid anti septic water and put a clean dry dressing on it.
if its a cut and its deep go to the dr so he or she can clean it for you with a good antiseptic and put a sterile dressing on it
good luck i hope it feels better soon

sometimes i'm getting slightly gabby, yet then preview and attempt to sparkling issues out. i've got in no way performed the shrink/paste factor in an answer nonetheless. The long solutions do no longer situation me yet i'm extra apt to envision the quick and to the element solutions.
