How do I find out which University has the best/better program(s) for a particular major?
Like, is there a directory that showcases this, for e.g. Yale Law School is good for Law, University of Florida is good for marine biology, that kind of thing.

There are a lot of different rankings lists that do this sort of thing. For many disciplines, people like the US News and World Report college rankings, which you can find right off their website. For business programs, I also like the rankings by Business Week, also on their website.

Please check with your school or public library. There are published sources, usually related to graduate degrees, in which schools are rated. You can look up a field of study and see the highest rated schools. Each source will rate in a different way, and you have to evaluate the appropriateness of the methodology used.

Many times princeton review and usa today do good reviews on specific school choices.
