Can someone explain deSitter-space ?

yep .. has to do with schwartzschild geometry/black holes

i could dig for it, but i'm afraid i need an inititial direction about where to dig ?

    DeSitter space is a solution of the equations of general relativity in a vacuum with a cosmological constant. It represents an exponentially expanding universe and is related to the inflationary scenarios in modern cosmology.

    Schwarzchild black holes can be thought of as a static solution (i.e. homogeneous in time) of the Einstein equations in a vacuum while the DeSitter space is a dynamic solution that is homogeneous in space. The black hole solution has a singularity at the origin, while the DeSitter solution simply has exponential growth through all time.

    In 1919 deSitter pondered on the low density of matter in space and proposed a model of space with no matter, he was trying to refine Einstein's Field Theory, it did not hold up to observations. In 1932 he and Einstein collaborated in an effort to improve on both theories and they proposed that dark matter must exist in the universe. This proposition is regarded as valid by most scientists, today. It had nothing to do with Swartzchild geometry.
