What are those things called that doctors use when they yell clear!?

I'm writing a script and a guy loses his pulse. I want to make it seem realistic but I dont know what there called... HELP!

    They are called defibrillator paddles, which are used to deliver a concentrated jolt of electricity in the hopes of depolarizing the cardiac muscle and restarting the heart into a normal sinus rhythm. ("Clear" is a way to get other people out of the vicinity of this jolt, which if transferred would probably knock them unconscious.)

    The term "defibrillator" comes from the name of the abnormal heart rhythm this machine is designed to stop; it is called fibrillation (which refers to the quivering, ineffective muscle action that stops circulation because the heart no longer works as a pump).
