How many "How can we stop Global Warming" questions do we need?
It would be interesting to see how many times this question has been asked. Do people think the answer is changing or do they really not read the any of the other questions?
Okay, so at this point I've gotten two answers and already I've noticed something. Neither answerer answered the question I asked. So i'm thinking that people must be so numbed to the Y!A-global-warming thing that they just automatically give the same answer regardless of the question. Verrrrry interesting.

Spud, the same questions get asked time after time on this site. "Am I pregnant?" "What is the time in Australia?" "Why won't my car start?" "What is the Bermuda triangle?" "Do you believe in UFOs?"
I'm beginning to wonder if the famed computer literacy of those under 30 is a myth. Nobody seems to have heard of search engines, on-line encyclopedias or any of the repositories of real information on the net.
Of course the Yahoo Answers search facility does not work very well. That does not help.

I'd go with Ken on this one. It is a question that has been asked many times over but so too are many other questions in other categories.
Maybe people ask the same questions because they're looking for a personalised answer that is directed at them - I don't really know. Perhaps you could ask this question in the psychology section.

Well, here's the real answer:
We can't stop global warming, but we can slow it down. Enough to avoid an economic disaster that would make the 1930s look like good times.
Here's the very affordable plan:

There's plenty of proof that it's real. This graph is from: Meehl, G.A., W.M. Washington, C.A. Ammann, J.M. Arblaster, T.M.L. Wigleym and C. Tebaldi (2004). "Combinations of Natural and Anthropogenic Forcings in Twentieth-Century Climate". Journal of Climate 17: 3721-3727

EDIT - 55Spud, the first guy said the same unscientific nonsense that's often said here, so I answered HIM. This situation is actually an indirect answer to your question. There's much more to a question than the question itself.
In the same spirit:

I say "as many as it takes" until people finally figure out the answer: we can't do anything about it because of the heat already absorbed by the oceans, and that we need to be figuring how to deal with it now instead of figure out ways to punish ourselves because we live in the industrialized society we were born into.
My source? The very last line of the IPCC summary report released in February. I have it here on paper so I can't post the link, but its at the bottom of page 17.

We cannot stop global warming. There is absolutely no evidence that it is because of us. The scientists who made up the whole thing are being payed big time by the government, so of course they aren't going to just quit pushing.

Liberal teachers are telling their students to ask these questions to " help raise awareness". Those of us who know that the global warming hysteria is a scam should answer each of these questions so we can use logic, truth, and real science to properly educate the students and thus defeat the alarmists.

Truth is, no one knows how it is being caused, but our emissions do increase the temperature slightly because of trapped gases. Now either this increases overall temp. worldwide or just in a city, the facts are right in front of us. Its getting hot and something isnt right.
