Which carseat is best for my car?

I have a 2 year old girl and I'm currentally pregnant with #2 (6 weeks 3 days) and I was wanting to get people opinion about carseats..which is the best deal to get the most use out of it...I dont want to spend too much on one because my daughter grew out of her infant carseat before she was 1 and I dont want to put the new baby through that...Also will the convertable seats have enough room behind the passenger seat to recline? I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX 4 door.

When it comes to convenience, versatility, and value in a convertible car seat the Graco ComfortSport is a real winner. Like all Graco convertible car seats, the ComfortSport convertible car seat, with a 5-point harness for maximum security, is the perfect transition car seat for when your little one has outgrown their Graco SnugRide infant car seat, but should still be riding rear-facing .The ComfortSport convertible car seat can be used rear-facing up to an incredible 30 lbs. After that, simply turn it around and use it as a toddler seat up to 40 lbs.. Your child is sure to love the plush, comfy seat and the kid compartments for storing drinks and stuff, and you'll love the ease of the front-adjusting harness straps.

Check out all of the reviews of baby car seats and you might want to call the Honda dealership to see what car seats work best in your car.

I have a Honda CRX and was very disappointed that I could not install the baby's car seat, a Britax Marathon, in the center back seat position.

No matter what I did it just did not feel secure. We took it to the Honda dealership and they installed it in the passenger side of the back seat where they could make use of one of the belts that was unavailable to the center position. It's amazing at how stable the car seat feels now compared to where it was. The problem is that the baby 's feet are really close to the back of the front passenger seat. The other passengers have to get in the back seat from the opposite door. There's just no room between the back of the front seat and the baby's car seat. I don't know why they could not have installed the same tethers or anchor straps in the Honda CRX for the center position as they have for the side positions.

Otherwise we are very happy with the Britax Marathon and are still using it for our 2 1/2-year-old. The resale value and the length of time that we have been able to use it have made it worth the extra bucks.

Did you keep your daughters infant carrier? You could re-use it if its still within the guidelines. Most babies do grow out of their infant carriers before one year, so don't feel cheated. Start hitting your local stores and comparing prices. Wait for "baby sales". You can often find a great car seat/stroller combo for less than $100 at one of these sales. You've got plenty of time, so just try waiting for a good deal.

Yes, your daughters car seat will fit behind the passengers seat. Just remember, you may have to move the front seat up a bit to give her plenty of room.

the ones with the LOCK IN LATCH that comes with the carseat. All u gotta do is snap the carseat onto the latch and its done instead of buckleling it everytime.
