I weigh 166 pounds.... how can I loose weight to weigh 120 pounds by august 20th?

    Instead try doing it the right way & lose weight by gaining a healthy lifestyle.

    It is not recommended that you lose more than 2-3 pounds per week. Rapid weight loss can be dangerous & is hard to maintain. losing weight is difficult because 1 lb is 3000 calories, so you must burn 3000 calories per pound you want to lose.

    cut down on your calories, eat lean protein, and whole grains - bread is not bad, so long as it is whole grain & high in fiber, also eat your veggies & drink lots of water. It is best to eat 1200-1500 calories per day, if you eat less than this your metabilism will slow down, making it harder to lose weight.

    NO fast food, no soft drinks (diet or regular) no eating unless you are hungery.

    Lots of Cardio & weight training. do 30-45 minutes of strength training 3-4 times per week followed by 45-50 minutes of cardio 5-6 times per week. do your strength training 1st, it burns more calories. Also walk more during the day. Take a walk on your lunch break, walk to the store, aim for 10,000 steps per day a pedomiter is a great idea.

    if you really want to lose the weight you are going to have to use dicipline & work hard. your health is worth it!

    Fasting can cause weight loss of up to 9lbs a week. This would be on a water only diet, with vitamins and minerals to keep your body working. However doing this for a month would be pretty extreme- my maximum (when I had bulimia) was 24 days, and I collapsed.

    If you are going to do this (I suspect you will probably do anything to lose the weight) make sure that somebody knows so that they can check up on you. Make sure you drink at least 2.5 litres of water every day, and if you are exercising make sure you consume some salt to keep you hydrated.

    It's best only to do gentle exercise while fasting.

    If you really need to break the fast so it with something like an apple.

    It's very important not to let yourself become too obsessive as eating disorders are really not fun. If you do eat, please don't try to purge as stomach acid ruins your teeth and things like ipocac have been known to kill people- on their first dose.

    When coming off the fast start slowly or you will gain the weight very quickly and probably make yourself very sick. Start with some fruit and juice on the first day. Leave the complex fruits like banana and avocado for later- watery fruits are easier for your body to get used to.

    You can't without causing serious health problems. Shoot for 2-5 lbs a week. That is a good healthy amount to lose. 90% of weight loss is diet.

    Eat lean protein, lots of veggies and fruits and very little sugar and bread. No fast food or fried food.

    Exercise every day. You will lose weight if you do all of these things.

    Not possible in one month, maybe by Aug 20, 2008 you could safely do it. If you want to lose weight and stand a chance of keeping it off, you should only lose about 1 pound per week.

    That's an urealistic goal. It took time for you to gain the weight, it will take time to lose it. No way you can lose that much weight in just a few weeks, sorry. The best thing to do is eat less, eat healthy, and excersize. To lose weight you only have to consume less calories than you burn. There are lots of different diet and excersize plans to help you do that. Just pick one that you think will work for you, and get lots of aerobic excersize.

    Sorry to tell you, but the only way to do that would be to chop off your leg. It is physically impossible. Try cutting out 500 calories a day off of what you normally would eat and excercise 3-5 a week. That's the healthiest, (and most effective) way to lose weight.

    diet and excersise

    eat healthy and workout as often as possible, you need to be really dedicated and the most you'll probably drop to is 130 or 140

    you cant just expect to lose a whole bunch in a short period of time, talk to a trainer and nutritionist

    also try wearing clothes that make you look slimer

    also it depends how tall you are if you're short than you'lll look chubbier as opposed to if you're tall then you wont have to lose as much,

    Keep this particular meal between 400 and six-hundred calories. Serve yourself a smaller sized portion, so if you like going back for seconds, you'll just turn out eating a normal-size portion.

    detox..... you can search it under Master Cleanse, I did it for 7 days and lost 7 pounds. It's the diet Beyonce did. Not sure if you'll lose that much though. It's kinda unhealthy but if your desperate you'd do it.
