Allah(swt) is from Arabic. Muslims perfer to use Allah(swt) rather then the word god. Allah can not be attached to any other word. It means the One the only the creator and sustainer of all.. You will never see the Allah combined with any other word. Like GOD. You will see godfather godmother. You can see god added to many other words. This is why Muslims prefer Allah because we do not attach any other meaning to it other then the meaning which is meant.

    godfather

    godmother

    godly

    goddess

    ungodly

    godlike

    goddam

and Allah(Swt) has nothing which can be attached it will always be and always was only Allah.

isn't that interesting....... that is b/ they are the same God..... if you were a Christian in an Arabic-speaking country you would say Allah and read Allah in your bible.

This would be the same for an Arabic-speaking Jewish person

The only reason most Muslims continue to use the word Allah is b/ in arabic there is a distinction between god (illah) and God (Allah)

I never thought of that before but you have a good point. It does sound the same. Not to mention all the similarities between Islam and Christianity.

  • a bit, but I prefer to use Allah as it is the proper name for God..

We all worship the same God, but some people can't just accept that..

and to fairlady: The Qur'an has similarities with the Bible, but that does not mean it was from the Bible..

The Qur'an is only one book, the Bible is made up of many parts..

And Verses of the Qur'an matches the current scientific discoveries..

    May Allah guide us all..

That's because we all submit ourselves to the same God: ALLAH. We all are just ignorant and cannot bring ouselves to admit that fact.

thats because the Koran has taken things from the Bible & twisted them to make people believe that Allah & his teachings are to be worshipped.... many will be deceived.....it's truly amazing to see/read the similiarities... but theres only one true God & its Jesus Christ...the other is straight from the pit of hell...(anti- Christ)
