In the market for Starting Pitching?
With the MLB trade deadline looming just 10 days away, I haven't heard of any starting pitchers on the block or being seriously talked about in rumors mills.
Every playoff contender could use starting pitching, so who's out there that has a realistic chance of being traded? And to where?
Javier Vasquez signed a 3-year extension just before the season started so I doubt the White Sox are willing to trade him.

matt morris, of the giants is on the trading block, and is being highly recruited. also joe blanton of the A's is supposed to be a hot commodity, roy oswalt is speculated to be on the trading block, but this is not certain. also, if the white sox call it a year, they will dump jon garland off to a contender.

The only big names really are Vasquez from the White Sox, and Contreras also from the White Sox.
For some reason names like Dontrelle Willis, and Roy Oswalt are thrown out there, but that's just crap.

It is very hard to get a deal done. Salaries, positions chemistry, skill agreement. it isnt that easy to get a big name guy that brings fans in. About 20% or less of these big deals get done. The gm's spend a lot of the day looking for players that can make there team better.
