I have a Dell laptop and it is connected to cable, I would like to be able to use it in other rooms of my home. How can I make it wireless because I only have cable connection in one room, and I can't get an internet connection without cable.
how could I find out if I have a wireless card, I don't have a router. also can I do this myself or do I need to get Dell to come and install it?

First if you need a wirless card for your laptop.
If it already has one you can then get a wireless router ( it plugs into your cable and sends the signal to your lap top)

Check if the laptop has inbuilt wireless. If not, buy a USB or PCMCIA wireless adaptor. Also buy a wireless router or access point to hook up with your internet connection.

Hi,
This is easy just go and buy a "UBS WLAN Adapter" (about £15) then connect it to your laptops UBS port (after you install the software that comes with it). and then you can connect to a Wi-Fi router (there about £23) which will have to replace your current router. If you have any question please just ask.

Get a wireless router.
If your laptop does not have a built in wireless card, get a wireless card.
