Re:Chronic Diarhea Cures?

I am in my mid 40s and for the past three weeks I have been suffering from reoccuring bouts of diarhea ,and I am not sure what the source of this is here are the possibilities

a) My teenage daughter was vomitting three weeks ago for about a day and I may have caught an infection

b) I am borderline type 2 diabetic diagnosed but have not been taking the insulin as my blood sugars are in limit,

c)I was in a car crash three -four years ago and diagnosed as a latent carrier of MRSA like a staph infection caught in hospital my father in law keeps dropping in for visits and I am worried that he has it and does not know he has it as he goes to senior citizens home oftrm to visit his mother which is 96 and old folks home are breeding grounds for diseases.

I am worried asd I read on web md that it could be three different things an infection, adiabetic complication or something like pancreatis which is almost fatal, chrons disease irritable bowel syndrome any ideas on what I should do,

You really should discuss this with your own M.D.

There is also the consideration that you could have developed lactose intolerance out of the blue like I did when I turned 38 years old. It can happen out of the blue.

The only thing I can eat is butter (because it has no lactose) and Breyers lactose free vanilla ice cream.

Don't self diagnose or look to the net. This is serious.

Not exactly homeopathic, but you could, ummm... stop drinking! But seriously.... If you drank such a heavily diluted solution of vodka while inebriated, you would eventually stop being drunk, pretty much as if you drank pure water.. Problem solved! EDIT: Still, if you stop drinking vodka or other alcohol in appreciable amounts, you will become sober with or without homeopathy. If you take the homeopathic "remedy" for drunkenness in the process, you might be able to say that homeopathy cured it, but it would be like walking the streets with a necklace of garlic around your neck to keep the vampires away. If you don't see any vampires, doe that mean the garlic works? EDIT #2: I'm not missing the fact that you have a thing about homeopathy. I don't know enough to have an opinion, but you might want to take a look at some of the questionable science underlying much "orthodox" medicine as it's practiced today.

Since it's been lasting for 3 weeks you may want to go to the doctor. Proper fluid replacement is a MUST, and since you don't know the cause it's important you go to the doctor so that the cause can be fixed.

Pancreatitis is not almost always fatal!!!! I worked for a gastroenterologist for 14 years. We saw lots of patients with pancreatitis. No one died!!! Go to a gastro. This is their specialty. You can get answers there, not from the general public.

By the way, self diagnosis is not the way to go, either.

  • 1. eat about 2-5 bannanas aday(not in one sitting)

It's a herbal remedy for diarhea

    2. if it dosn't clear up in 3 days see a doctor

you might actually have sever constipation

    or worse

its better to know that to worry about not knowing

Source(s): common sense and alot of books

Ask a doctor if you are concerned. By the way, diabetes is a noninfectious condition, it cannot be passed from person to person like a cold or AIDS.
