Who's claimed their free Yahoo! birthday gift?
If you've got it already, what is it???
They've been sending out emails to Answers contributors to celebrate their first birthday. The value of the gift will be determined by the level you are up to, apparantly. You have to give your name and address and Yahoo! ID, so if you do respond to the email MAKE SURE IT'S GENUINE!!!
I'm not winding people up, it's true! Try searching the site for information.
Go to the site's Blog pages, the details are there. It's genuine.
If you go to the top of the page on the right hand side you will see Blog in small blue letters. I can't post the link because I don't know how to, sorry.

Hey guys
Yahoo Answers staff has confirmed the yahoo birthday emails are legit yet only apply to yahoo answers uk to celebrate the first birthday of yahoo answers uk.
Please note this does not apply to yahoo answers usa to avoid confusion which occurs around December.
The emails are legit and users should apply all details required to claim the free gift.

While this is probably NOT a con -- it IS outdated. The first birthday for Yahoo Answers was on December 13, 2006 -- over six months ago. We DID get emails to sign up for prizes. I signed up -- and as a Level 6 user, finally got a Yahoo Answers coffee mug as a prize.
So, while they MAY do this again in November/December of 2007, I don't think that they are sending out the emails THIS early! Can you post the email or the link to the blog, please?

I claimed mine.
And for those saying its a con, why is yahoo saying its real?
Its for those in the UK. I'm guessing its mainly Americans who don't know about this and posting?

For those who didnt get an email, I think its for those on level 4 and above...not that it will do us any good if it doesnt come
