There are lot's of things one can do..... if you have worked in the past you can file for "Unemployment Insurance" with your local office and based on your past income receive a check for up to 26 weeks. If you haven't ever worked or already exausted your Unemployment benefits file for "General Relief" with the state. They will give you $285.00 a month. Go to a any church they are a good source for directing you to free help. They will give you information on free community clinics for medical help should you need it and local foodbanks where you can receive food. You can also file for food stamps at the welfare office. There is lots of help out there!

It's really very hard to think if you take it seriously. One may beg, steal or rob. It's a question of conscience. Someone answered about taking jobs, but you have asked IF YOU HAD NO JOB that rules out possibility of getting one. I personally feel in such situation prolly I will commit suicide.

I would try to get a job; if I didn't have a spouse or children, I'd try to work as a live in nanny, housekeeper, or assistant, because that would provide me with a place to live as well as income.
