I have a confusing golf swing. Any Help?

I play some sports left handed and some right. I golf right handed, but my hands are crossed. I'm still decent. Should I try left handed clubs, train myself to uncross my hands, or stick with what works.

When I picked up my first golf club, it was right handed and I had my hands crossed.

My dad then gave me one of his left handed clubs and I held it as a right handed club!

I am better now but how weird is that?

Go to the driving range. Play 20 balls right handed with your hands crossed, 20 balls left handed then another 20 on the right but with correct hand positions.

See how you go from that

Go to Play It Again Sports or something like that and pick up a single left handed club and see how it feels. Whichever way you decide you want to play, you need to use a correct grip. I don't know what you think decent is, but you're probably not shooting in the 70s with that grip, and if you ever want to get that good you need to start playing the right way. If I were you, I'd go take a couple of lesson so that he can fix your grip and get you started in the right direction to having a good swing.

That just sounds like a mess.

I assume you are left hand dominate, since you say you play golf right handed, and are crossing your arms?

If you are left hand dominate, then you should play with "left handed" clubs. For the left handed golfer, the right hand is gripped toward the butt of the club and the left hand is placed below it. The left handed golfer's right hand/arm is the one that does all the work. The left hand/arm is just along for the ride.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.

You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net/

Wow....that does sound confusing. I'm a lefty golfer. Have you ever tried playing with left-handed clubs (right hand positioned at the top of the club, left hand butted underneath the right)? I'd be curious to see how you did.

There are many people who will putt cross handed, but rarely will you see someone swing the club cross handed. however, I know there are some people who have great success with it...rare though.

IF IT WORKS AND YOU CAN REPEAT IT EVERY TIME, THEN STICK WITH WHAT WORKS... IF IT'S NOT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT... ENJOY THE GAME AND HIT 'EM STRAIGHT!!!

IF YOUR NOT GOING PRO AND ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR GAME THEN JUST GO WITH IT.
