Is it my imagination, or are certain Catholics on this site being rather outspoken in their intolerance?

and their accusations toward other Christians?

Well I try not to get into this.I am Church of England but I have both Catholics and ("real") Protestants in my Family and some who are neither. In fact I see myself as neither in a way because the Church of England is really a classic compromise - High Church Anglicanism is called almost "Catholic" by some and even Charles I ("The Defender of the Faith") was accused of being a secret Catholic by some which is why Cromwell and co. went for him so hard (among other reasons of course).

Anyhow I am no expert but what I will say is that a "lapsed" Catholic who then "returns" to his religion later on in order to escape from his Family responsiblities can be a disaster.

Enough said - I would discuss this privately if you or anybody else so wish.

    Best wishes,

    Joan.

Maybe!!! What I find Fascinating is that I am seeing so many Young Female Catholics stepping up to say how Bad the Christians & Media are in Persecuting their church, Admitting that there are "Some Bad Apples" in the way of the "priesthood", but they all say "Not Mine"!!! Of course Not theirs!!! Women have nothing to fear from Pedophiles & "Male? Homosexuals"!!! Then too, why are they so Anxious to Constantly Believe the LIE??? I know for a Fact I have Posted at least 200 Answers Challenging these people to their Own Independent Study of the History of the Catholic church & it's Papal Leaders. I also Preface it by telling them to Not Use Any Religious Books, Catholic or Otherwise, just History Books alone will Open their Eyes to the Mass Murders, Rapes, Incest, Tortures, Altering Documents etc. throughout Centuries of the Catholic churchs' History!!! To date, to the best of my knowledge, NOT ONE PERSON has ever done it!!! In talking this over with my wife I have kinda come to the conclusion that it is an Exceptional Woman who has a sense of "Questioning" almost Anything!!! To wit I point out that there are really VERY FEW Great Female Chefs as they are "Afraid" to "Experiment", rather "Comfortable" just "Following" a "Recipe" for Fear of making a mistake, where as a Guy will just cover it up with Catsup!!! I think this is also true with Women in the Catholic church defending the churchs' "Dogma"!!! They are Afraid they may make a "Mistake" so they "Blindly Follow" the local padres' "False Teachings"!!! And of course shall never be "Set Free" from the "Bondage of the church & Sin"!!! GOOD Q.!!! John

No it is not your imagination. There are three new people here within the last couple of weeks. I will not name them specifically, but they are common mens names. Their hatred and belligerent bashing and insulting of Protestants is very noticeable. They like to use derogatory terms to describe evangelicals. My suspicion is that these three new accounts are the same person because their style of bitterness is very obvious. They are trying their best to undermine protestants and cause trouble. The best thing you can do is just not give them an answer.

You know, it's quite possible, the Catholics are having many troubles right now, those things could be riding up their skin. Could be they are lashing out in frustration. It is such a double sided religion anyway, mabye we are seeing the bad one. I think all Christianity is ridiculous though. Jesus was "Sun" god, not the son of god, just like Hermus of Egypt, Buddha, the Krishna, and many others who all have the same or frighteningly similar origins.

Strange, I've never found them to be intolerant. They are quite consistent in declaring what they believe, but generally they seem to be among the more polite and decent people here.

It is your imagination. I am neither catholic nor protestant and I see more protestants bashing catholics than the other way around.
