What beach can I go to in Nassau, Bahamas that not going to charge me a fee and isn't to far from the port?

Safe and family friendly. Not the one by the port.

Beaches in the bahamas are generally public property. You should not be charged for any!

You can access the public beach on Paradise Island thru the walkway next to the RIU (just take a ferry and walk the short distance, or grab a cab for $3pp.). It's free.

No amenities or bathrooms, but it's free. You can rent loungers for $15 or so.

If you need washrooms, changing rooms and loungers, you'll have to pay to use a hotel property. $15 for Wyndham and nassau Beach hotel at Cable Beach and $55- 115 for other hotels. such as Breezes AI , RIU AI and Atlantis.

If you want free.. the only beaches are the public beaches. The one just outside of town near the port.. or Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island.

There are some out of the way public beaches (goodman bay and Saunders at Cable Beach, but they are not raked (glass and debris) or well kept, hard to get to, and you may be the only ones there. There's also an undertow, so you must be a strong swimmer. (no lifeguards or help if you get into trouble).
