How can I visit each resort hotel at Disney World?
We will be visiting DW in Nov and want to visit each of the hotel resorts to check out there Christmas decorations. In what order should we visit each hotel and how should we visit them? Bus, monarail? We aren't renting a car. We will have 2 days to visit the resorts. I want to be able to visit Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club Resort, Boardwalk Inn, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge,Yacht Club, Caribbean Beach,Coronado Springs, Port Orleans, Pop Century, All Star Music, and All Star Sports. But to fit them all in I want to know the best way to visit each. Utilize our time. Thank you
We are staying at the All Star Movies Resort.
We added another day to our reservations. Now we have 3 days to tour the hotels.

When we go to visit each of the different resorts, we use every form of transportation that Disney offers. For example, when we are in the Magic Kingdom resort area, we hop onto the monorail and go to Polynesian Resort, Contemporary, and then to Grand Floridian. Each time hopping back onto the monorail to go to the next resort, after that, we hop on the monorail one more time and head on over to Magic Kingdom and from there take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge.
The Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn, and Yacht Club are all on the Boardwalk so the best way to do that is to take a bus from either Downtown Disney or you can take a ferry over from Epcot or MGM, or if you are in the mood you can take a 15-20 minute hike from these two parks as well, and see these resorts all while having lunch at one of the great restaurants there. Also, the Carribean Beach Resort is very close to Epcot, therefore you can take a bus from there to the resort.
The All Star Resorts and Animal Kingdom Lodge are all near each other however, I believe the Animal Kingdom Lodge has it's own buses that goes to all the different attractions. Your best bet for that is to go to Animal Kingdom Park and then hop onto a bus over to the lodge. As for the All Star Music and All Star Sports, they are right next to each other so you can take a bus from Animal Kingdom and head on over there and walk from one resort to the next. Pop Century, however, is not part of these resorts and is off by itself. I, however, have never been to this resort so I am not sure of the best route. The other Resort that is close to Animal Kingdom park is Corronado Springs, there you will have to take a bus from the park to get to this resort as well.
As for both the Port Orleans resorts (Riverside and French Quarters) the best bet would be to either take a bus from Downtown Disney or take a ferry from Downtown Disney. However, the ferry can take longer than the bus ride because they come every 20 mins or so. When we stayed there in June, we often took the bus rather than the ferry, but if you are wanting to visit both resorts, the ferry is probably the best route. When you come from Downtown Disney you stop at the French Quarters first, so you can hop off there and look around, then instead of hopping back onto the ferry, there is a wonderful path that leads you to the Riverside. Hope this all helps.

wow that will take up a lot of your time but could be well worth it. I would start at the Grand Floridian and monorail the Contemporary and the Poly. Besides that, you will have to bus from resort to a park to the next resort to a park and so forth. Waiting for a bus and the ride itself will take up a great deal of time. I would consider renting a car though for a trip like this. But if not, get a map of the world and visit the resorts close to MK all at once like the ones I mentioned, then head over to Epcot or AK and visit those resorts. If you do it that way the bus rides won't be so long.

The best way is start at Contemporary, which is the main gate for Magic Kingdom. Then take the monorail to Polnesian and the Grand Floridian. After that take the boat at the entrance of the park to Fort Wilderness. That will clear out 4 resorts.
For the other resort Port Orleans, Sarritoga will be downtown Disney.
All the other ones you will have to take the bus. Its spread out evenly except for Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Good Luck

i'd say get a map and look at the resorts, but best bet is to just visit the resorts that are near the park you will be at, so if at Magic, get on the monorail at Magic and go see the Polynesian, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, i thikn that's it there, and same with Epcot. If you park hop, you can leave MK and take a bus to another resort-look at it- and then go to another park, get on a bus and repeat. That'll take all day. Visit a few a day and by the end u may see most of the 19 resorts there. I dont think all are decorated for xmas.

Since you are staying at the All Star and will not have a rental car, I recommend visiting by shuttle bus from Downtown Disney. This is really the only way you can visit resorts anyway. If you were to arrive by rental car, the only way they would let you in is if you were staying there and could provide a reservation number or if you had dining reservations. But if you travel by the free shuttle from Downtown Disney, no questions are asked!
Encorportate your Resort visits with your park visits to make the best use of your time. For example, visit the Grand Floridian, Poly, Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary during your visit to the Magic Kingdom. Take a break in your day and hop on the monorail to view the Christmas decor at each location. You will have to take a shuttle from the TT&C (Transportation & Ticket Center) to the Wilderness Lodge or catch a ferry boat there. I recommend you make your dinner reservations at one of these resorts to kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak. Ohanas at the Poly, California Grill at the Contem. or Narcoossee's at the GF are all highly recommended.
Resort hopping is wonderful, but it can be very time consuming and you have a ton on your to-do list. I recommend that you break this list down and save a few resorts for your next visit. If you are interested in seeing Disney Christmas decor, I recommend you visit the following only. These spots have the coolest decor that time of year!
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: Purchase Christmas goodies from the life-size Gingerbread house and take a photo next to the giant Christmas tree in the lobby!
Beach Club Resort: Check out the all-chocolate and sugar life size (child's size) carousel!
Animal Kingdom Lodge: Their tree is home to some fabulous African-inspired Kwanza/Christmas ornaments!

some you will be able to ride the monarail, others you will ride the DW bus that runs between the parks from resort to resort... some you will be able to ride the ferry-boats.
I did this too! Glad to see I am not the only one that likes to check out other stuff. LOL
The buses run about like 15 minutes a part. get up early and start your day. and stay up late... the buses run late.
I stayed in the all star music and the all star resorts are all clsoe together so that wont take long to do... the one that I found to be the greatest distance for me was wilderness and animal kingdom. get a map and try to plan your route best you can...watch the buses they are color marked. I did get on the wrong color and ended up downtown disney... I was lost for about 3 hours!!! LOL

The best way is to utilize the transportation at each resort. If you are at the monorail resorts, use it to go between them, rather than taking the bus to one, back to a park and then to the next one, it will save you a lot of time. If you are at a resort that you can take a boat to another resort, that is a good way as well.
You won't be able to get to all the resorts without taking a bus, but there is a handful that you can use monorail or boat to get around and it will save you a lot of time. The value resorts (Pop Century you will need to go to the park, but with the All Stars you can go from one to the other) and other resorts that you have to take the bus to, you will need to get on a bus, then go to a park, or Downtown Disney and take another bus in order to get to the next resort.
Not having your own transportation can make resort hopping a little timely, but if you are giving yourself two days, that is plenty.
Hope this helps!

You most definitely can. Be sure to reserve your time for jet skiing and water skiing ahead of time. Then what you will do is take the bus from your resort to Downtown Disney and transfer to the bus heading to the Contemporary Resort. Another option is to ride the bus to Magic Kingdom and then transfer to the monorail that takes you over to the Contemporary Resort. Allow plenty of travel time so you won't be late.

you can take the bus to all of them from any of the parks or from down town Disney/ The tram doesn't go to all of them I would ask someone at the front desk or the bus driver. You will have to get on multiply buses because the bus usual only goes to one place at a time

from the all start take the bus transportation to downtown disney. in downtown disney switch to the hotel you want. you cant take the bus trasportation from hotel to hotel. everytime you want to switch yo have to take the transportation to downtown disney. also a important thing are that WDW have 21 or 22 hotel. i cant remeber exactly, but this idea may take too much of your time.
