Weezer, there is no net, illegals may have taxes deducted but just exactly how does his employer pay these if they don't have SSI numbers, right, they don't , the employer pockets the money. Just so you know 27% of all the inmates in prisons are illegal immigrants (not all Mexican but illegal just the same)

well it can really cost you when one steals your social security number. Which happened to my mom. It took years for them to finally catch her, it cost my mom plenty. I was dx'd with a brain dz, last yr . My husband and I both work for small companies that do not offer insurance,I was told by social services the only way I could get assistance was if I were an illegal alien. It cost me plenty.

I don't want to be a burden on our system but it was designed to help citizens in times of crisis, It's a shame when a legal citizen is denied services because illegal(key word) people have abused our system. By the way... I am not against immigrants who come over by legal and due process.

I haven't seen any hard data on it. I have seen where over 100 Urgent Care clinics across the country had to close because illegal immigrants wouldn't pay and they went belly up.

I have seen that the largest growing gang in the U.S. is the Mexican mafia, or something like that, and it is comprised of an estimated 86% illegals.

The illegal immigrants are costing us little or nothing tax-wise. The money they would be paying if the neocons wern't so determined to keep their status illegal is going into the pockets of the criminal employers who are paying offf the Republicans to block reform of the immigration system.

I think a good portion do. the response to the immigration reform legislation was incredible. the thing that is really hurtful is social security. more of them collect on social services not due to them, than those that don't pay taxes. the ones with the bad SS numbers probably pay a good amount of tax and never file a return.

15 months ago my wife and I gave birth to twins at Sharps hospital in San Diego. We were in the NICU for a month because they came early. While we were there, there were 60 babies also in the NICU. Over HALF were babies born to illegal mexicans who jumped the border 7 months pregnant to have their premature babies in the same facility that we did.

When we left, our insurance was billed $175,000 and we paid over $15,000 out of pocket. The illegal aliens who had their baby next to us gave no insurance information, no forwarding address, and probably didn't even use their real name. When they left they were given some blankets since they didn't have any, a few free bottles, and a pat on the back as they drove away in their piece of crap car with Baja plates. Never to be seen or heard from again.

In all liklihood they will remain in the United States, working under the table and paying NOTHING in taxes while their kid goes to OUR schools paid for with OUR tax dollars insisting that they deserve to live in OUR country and collect OUR benefits.

Illegal immigrants are actually a net plus as far as taxes are concerned. They do pay taxes like everybody else, despite what conservatives say, but they are less likely to take advantage of the programs that they are funding with their taxes. Also, they commit crimes at a much lower rate than the rest of the population, so the American people are not paying for them to be shacked up in the vertical bars inn.

It's probably about even, considering the relatively low wages the workings ones earn. Without them, consider how the price of food would increase.

tax wise? no, but i do know that they have effected a whole class of people, by driving down wages. They also consume social services, making them harder for citizens to get. I know that I was denied unemployment at one point when i really needed it, and i SHOULD HAVE been able to get it.
