Do you remember the Silver Bridge collapse - Point Pleasant WV?
very similar to the tragedy in Minneapolis.
Archive:
On December 15,1967 at approximately 5 p.m., the U.S. Highway 35 bridge connecting Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Kanauga, Ohio suddenly collapsed into the Ohio River. At the time of failure, thirty- seven vehicles were crossing the bridge span, and thirty-one of those automobiles fell with the bridge. Forty- six individuals perished with the buckling of the bridge and nine were seriously injured. Along with the numerous fatalities and injuries, a major transportation route connecting West Virginia and Ohio was destroyed, disrupting the lives of many and striking fear across the nation.
I use to live close to Point Pleasant (Parkersburg). I thought of this when I heard the report. I had a weird dream a few days ago as well.

Ironic that I was thinking about this yesterday. I remember as a kid watching it on TV. The final report, was that people ignored a sign and light that were supposed to regulate the weight and flow of traffic on the bridge. But people ignored it, and the bridge fell.

I do. I'm a big mothman fanatic, so it's kinda weird that the bridge would fall in my city.
My mum, in fact, works at HCMC hospital and she called awhile ago and said it was CRAZY at the hospital.
Weird.

yes, and one of the first things after the shock that i wondered about was whether there were sightings of mothman recently before this tragedy today? i was just talking with my granddaughter about this a bit earlier this evening.
