The blue Angels will be practicing over Lake Washington.

I 90 will be closed during the practice time - check the local newspapers or the DOT web site for the exact time of the closures. That will tell you when.

So what you need is a good place to hang out near the practice area. Try Seward Park, or the boat launch just north of Seward park (if opened - might be closed for hydro race setup)

If not there, just north of I90 on the lake is a marina, park and restaurant area that might work well for you. Just follow Lake Washington Boulevard north until you see the marina on your right.

Finally, if you can time a visit to the visitor's platform at the top of the Columbia Center Cuilding (or whatever it is called these days - it's the tallest building in the city), you should be able to have a great view. But I think there is a cost to go to the viewing platform. Seward park or somewhere else along Lake Washington Boulevard would be free.

    Enjoy!

Find out which airport they will be performing at and then find a nice parking place maybe a half mile away and enjoy the show. I've done this many times and have seen the Thunderbirds too. They always practice over the same airfield to establish reference points so they know when to begin and end all the different maneuvers they will be doing. Have fun.

If you have any friends that work in a downtown office building, see if they will let you visit. :)
