Ingmar Bergman was an unbelievably talented individual...a celebrated director, actor, producer and cinematographer to name a few; he left an indelible mark in a lot of people's lives. The world lost another genius. My favorite Bergman film will always be "The Seventh Seal". One of my favorite actors, Max Von Sydow, plays a knight returning home from the crusades and finds Death waiting to claim him; so he challenges him to a game of chess. It's a film of thematic elegance and I will always love it.

Ingmar Bergman's recent death (as well as Antonioni's) is a huge loss to cinema. I like "The Seventh Seal" the best of all his films I've watched thus far (I'm just beginning to get into his films), but "Wild Strawberries" and "Fanny and Alexander" are also very good films. It's a shame that many younger film goers, have no idea who he even his. He's one of the top ten filmmakers of all time.

might desire to 2nd _The seventh Seal_. This action picture had an incredible result upon me at a youthful age. additionally like _Persona_ and _Cries and Whispers_. we've lost between the somewhat great cinematic storytellers.

Casablanca, of course. her and Bogey were a match made in heaven for movie lovers. When he says, "We'll always have Paris," I could feel the pain in Ilsa. Bogey didn't look too great either.
