At what age did you first realize your enlightenment?

and/or "whatever"? If the age thing is too personal, just give a general idea, like childhood, early adult, etc. or maybe "just awhile ago." Thanks in advance. This will mean much to me.

I was an early teen. I remember it vividly, like it was yesterday and I am now in my fifties. I was walking down the road with my friend, Letha. It was like veil was lifted from my eyes and I knew my being was part of something much greater yet integral. I felt very small that day yet freed to be much larger.

We are all connected. Me to you at this moment as you read my words and also by being on the earth where atoms interlink.

Just recently I said to a close friend that I'd finally reached enlightenment. He just looked at me stoically as is his way. I said yes, I'd finally realized that no matter how long I studied and meditated and conversed with my teachers, I would never reach the state of full enlightenment. Therefore in reaching that conclusion I had become as enlightened as I was likely to get.

He did not find this humorous.

The thing is, I wasn't trying to be funny.

we've been in "New Age" enlightenment for some years now...over a century, if not extra. you're able to be able to desire to seem at time as linear nevertheless simply by fact while Christianity became rising, it became too considered "New Age", only as Wicca and various of alternative different religions are today. and don't think of i'm taking a shielding stance in the direction of Christianity simply by fact i'm only pointing out that each and each faith began as a "new age" theory - a sparkling way of thinking. Our minds and concept methods' evolve alongside with us. that's shown in how technologies has bigger and bettered itself, or perhaps spirituality.

I realized I was enlightened when I listened to Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused for the first time when I was like 8 or 9.

Age 20. When I realized spirituality was seperate from the Christianity I had been force fed since an infant. I never looked back.

I have had a lack of faith as far back as my memories go. I remember being told the story of Noah's ark at 5-6 and getting in trouble for asking if anyone actually believed that story. Even at that age I could see the holes in it.

Probably about 10 years ago when I realized that the Bible was a "nice book" but not factual and that organized religion is the root of all evil.

I was about 16 or 17. I started to question the religion I was raised in. I began reading different books and exploring different ideologies. I soon came to my OWN conclusions.

About the age of 14, sitting on a full prop plane by myself, about to succumb to anxiety.
