US sends 200,000 weapons to Iraq and they disappear?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070806/pl_nm/iraq_usa...

This is reminiscent of the $12 billion in cash Bush sent to downtown Bagdad that also vanished. Who are these guys running this show that this kind of thing can happen. Our troops will once again pay the price.

Update:

Assault rifles, pistols, body armor, and helmets. Is somebody arming an army?

Bush is draining every agency in the government to pay for his folly in Iraq and his republican bushbots are right in lockstep with him. You don't hear anything about that 12 billion anymore, that was stonewalled just like this incident with the weapons will be.

that's a good question wayne. Very valid too. Its not an excuse yet extra of a propaganda it is often used. In essence excuses are used as a technique. i actually ask your self how are American nuclear weapons meant to be safer than the Iranian or the Iraqi ones? united statesa. could stop ruining the planet... that's not basically destroying different countries yet in the technique it is likewise digging its own grave. united statesa. is heavily immature to apply confrontations and protection rigidity could to control the international. as long as united statesa. is smitten by means of being a international chief and it smugly and ignorantly refuses to seem previous its own pursuits, that's going to in no way stop to reason issues to the the remainder of the international. unhappy there's no one to stop united statesa., who can journey their could. American strikes will positively bring about a international conflict... its not a question of no remember if that's going to happen or not... its basically a remember of time while the international will blow up in bits and products. And united statesa. will blame it on Islam. i actually wish to work out Obama simply by fact the subsequent American president. If Hillary ever have been given to that place...i'm specific the dumb ***** will do a techniques worse than Bush. no one in the international has an answer to truly cope with united statesa.. Its particularly unhappy. human beings could take duty and reform their government, yet regrettably maximum human beings have confidence their government is in the incredible... its particularly unhappy...and the destiny...somewhat frightening...

You need to reread the article.

No where does it say the weapons disappeared.

It says they cannot account for them.

    IE:

They do know know what iraqi unit has Ak-47 serial number XXX-XXX.

    It's a paper work problem.

They cannot track each weapon by serial number and say exactly what Iraqi Unit was issued the weapon.

It didn't say the weapons were all missing.

I don't know where all of those weapons came from. We do have a long history of giving things to "allies" that we later regret. Don't just blame bush though. He's just trying to appease the libs by giving aid. If it were up to conservatives, we would have just blown the hell out of them.

You need to learn how to read.

The U.S. did not send the weapons to Iraq. The story mentions AK-47s -- those would be Iraqi AKs that were taken from the Iraqi Army after it was disbanded.

    Source(s): We don't do AK-47s.

That's the scumbag way Bush sends weapons, ammo, money, food etc. to Al-Qaeda :)

    And then he goes:

Al-Qaida is coming, (I fix them up well) stay the course....

Source(s): Weapons given to Iraq are missing (VERI FRESH) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20137021/

    Oops, our bad.

OK, now we need some more money, so we can buy more weapons to send to Iraq. Heh heh. Wonder how long we can keep this up before somebody catches on?

You have to pay off local crime lords and arm U.S.-sympathetic militias to maintain order somehow.
