I just caught "The Pirate Movie" on a cable channel... anyone remember this gem?

damn what channel was it on?
one of my favorite movies of all time.
nothing like the remade song done by the modern major general when he meets the pirates.
or the Indiana Jones cameo.
My favorite part of that movie is when Frederick is fighting the pirate king and he knocks his sword away, and frederick is trying to figure out what to do when he hears "Use the force" and his sword is a light saber.
he picks it up and the pirate king touches the end and asks if he had taught him that and he says "na saw it in a movie once"
or the limp police batons.
did you know this was a remake of the famous "Pirates of Penzance" play turned movie?

I had the biggest crush on Kristy McNichol after this movie. ...I was only 9. And probably haven't seen it since.
