Do you practice responsible procreation?

Or do you believe that you are blessed even if you have 14 kids? I watched a program tonight about a family with 16 kids (now 17). I have one and cannot even CONTEMPLATE having more than 2... do you think this is responsible or a god-given right to have that many children? Does this earth matter to these people (Duggars)?

    I personally don't think it's responsible.

Today, we are having trouble sustaining our ways of life, and with more people comes more pollution, more mouths to feed, less space...

If everyone had 17 kids, think about what would happen to earth.

In response to what somebody here said, one of those kids might end up saving your life, but there would always be someone around to do that. And one of those kids might take your life in a car accident, who knows.

But my main point is that if everyone did that, the earth would be a wreck.

I have no idea. I guess it's a matter of preference for some people but then again some don't believe in birth control. Two kids would be more than enough for me to handle but 17? Oh heck no!

I believe you can have as many children as you can responsibly handle and afford. The Duggars can afford their 17 kids. As I understand it their house is paid off in full and they have almost no debt. They are very religious (I believe he is a baptist minister with his own Internet church). They seem to be well adjusted kids and mom does not seem to be overly stressed. So I think that is their right. And how do you know they don't care about the Earth? They seem to have their own garden and are obviously not to wasteful if they have do debt.

I admire the Duggars... because they have that many kids and can afford to support them without state assistance.

I think you should be able to have as many children as you want as long as you can afford to care for them properly.

Now these people that have 6 kids and live off of Welfare because they are hooked on drugs and cant get a job... those people make me mad!

It's an irisponsible drain on the resources of the earth.

It's the same as those idiots that think they are special because their fertilliy medicine (that they didn't need in the first place) has 'blessed' them with quintuplets.

Then again. We need soldiers =)

Not my decision to say when a mother and father have too many. What I see is, for some one is too many and others they seen to have the ways and means too care for many children. God bless those who know their limits and use God as a way to figure it out.

If they can care for and support 17 children, more power to them. I have health problems and can't care for even one child. If these children grow up to be productive, law-abiding citizens who themselves bring up productive, law-abiding citizens, I consider that to be to the benefit of society.

get off the duggar's jock, wouldja?

call it *different strokes* and then call it a day...

it's not your life and it's not your planet....you don't get to decide how many kids are born...

think of it this way. when you're an old fart and are having a massive stroke - little jennifer duggar might be the little girl scout who gives you cpr and saves your crusty old life...
