Why is yahoo mail the only service not available to me right now?
I can access all other services with the sole exception of my own mail account.
I don't use Windows. I use, program, build, and rebuild: Linux, plan9, minix3, and FreeBSD. The error is on the server side with the SQL database and the response time.
If I want to increase the speed of my system I would:
Use tinyX instead of X.org,
Use Blackbox as the window manager,
Have a stripped down version of Iceweasel,
Use the command line,
Turn off all services except dhcp, selinux, and ssh
If I was using FreeBSD I would use blackbox as the window manager
a stripped down version of firefox,
no read write to my disk by setting it to level +2.
Minix would not require me to do anything considering it can run a graphical environment with 32M RAM.
Plan9 will do fine with 64M RAM and I would simply create a fo9lder connection to yahoo.

yahoo in certain areas has had probs with their repeaters and having hard time transmitting signals thats the reason youre not getting your mail msn hotmail is a really good choice forr mail and i have had no plms in the last 6 years

YAHOO SUGGESTS THE BELOW OPTIONS TO REMEDY SOME PROBLEMS
THIS WILL CLEAN UP YOUR COMPUTER AND MAKE IT MUCH FASTER
FIRST CLEAR YAHOO CACHE
In Internet explorer at top of window select tools
then internet options
then choose delete temporary files, cookies ,browser history etc
- then another box will open - select delete all
-Then close explorer then open again .At first pages will be slow once
and then will load fast after it loads 1 time.Also email etc you will have to sign in 1 time with password etc.
This will create new cookies.
then also go to start at bottom of on task bar.
click start 1 time then select find or search depending on your operating system.
Select all files and folders - then type in defrag and click search.When icons come up double click
and new box will come up - select analyze then you will see how fragmented you are -
then choose defrag.You can put this program on your desk top by right clicking on the icon you found in search for defrag.
Right click choose create short cut.This will put a short cut on your desk top.Then you can use as needed in future.
then go start on blue bar (task bar)
choose search or find
then choose all files and folders
then type in disk clean up
when you see this icon
double click
choose c drive
let it run
then click ok
so you dont have to do this again
go back to same icon
right click
choose create short cut on desk top
close all windows
a new icon will be on your desk top
then you can run it when you want to
RESTART COMPUTER AFTER YOU DO ALL THE ABOVE
In Firefox 2Tools > Options Privacy Cookies Clear Now Select cookies
For Firefox 2 clickClear Now button under Tools Options Privacy Cache select Cache
DEFRAG ETC for firefox and thunderbird
