Are women subconsciously attracted to a taken man?

i am not attracted to a guy who is taken nor are any of the girls i know. i am turned off in a sense by a guy who is taken. i have too much respect for their relationship, the guy, and the girl to be interested in him.

you said something pretty key they do not know you have a girlfriend, so their behavior is not contingent on the knowledge that you are taken. while women can seem mysterious and to know things at times, there is no way a woman would intuitively know you have a girlfriend now. so what accounts for the sudden interest in you? you might be exerting more confidence once you have a girlfriend. you might not do it intentionally but in subtle ways that women pick up on you seem to lack confidence but once you are with a girl you are confident. perhaps you try too hard and once you have a girlfriend there is no need for you to try and impress women so other women are now attracted to you.

girls that never flirted with you before but now do because you have a gf are realizing that if some other girl is with you..AND sticking around, you must be doing something right. the girls didnt want to believe you were that great of a guy but when some other girl claims you. women also like being able to have the power to change a guy's mind about something. take a bad boy and tone him down, get him to be more sensitive, etc. we feel awesome when this feat is accomplished. also, you may feel more confident when you have a gf and notice other women hitting on you, maybe even expecting it. enjoy it!

Your lying. Money means nothing if there's no love. We have evolved since the "barbarian times". Why do you think women who are married to doctors and lawyers are notorious for cheating because they are "unhappy"? Women want a guy who is responsible, independent, with a great personality to boot. It doesn't mean he has to have a lot of money. Money really doesn't buy happiness. Your views are very narrow minded and simplistic. A woman would eat you for dinner. Furthermore, I dont know if you ever heard of the womens movement? Yeah. Women can go out and work and support themselves now. Theres not really a need for guys like you are talking about anymore. Take your stupid Brad Pitt example. Angelina is with Brad because of his money and social status. Wait, isnt Angelina the HIGHEST PAID ACTRESS? So why would she want Brads money? You're such a buffoon.

Happens all the time. The fact that you are taken by another woman makes you very attractive. You know that little competition thing that women have? Yeah.

There is something attractive about knowing someone is taken, because it indicates that there is something about them that other people must find attractive. So your mental process becomes "someone wants this person...there must be something about them to want." Also, if you've already got someone, you're going to be more relaxed and confident, which will also make you more attractive.

I don't think it's limited to women, either.

It is often true... we as human beings want what we can't have. So if a man is taken, its moreso the conquering they want. They want to feel like "they did it". Not all women, but it does happen.

I heard of that for girls too maybe we just noticed that these people find us good looking after all. But you do have a point.
