Ames Straw Poll?

Mitt Romney won the straw poll and almost doubled the guy who came in secound. (Mike Huckabee), The greatest difference between the 1st and 2nd canidates.

Oh yeah for Ron Paul supporters, he came in 5th with 1305 votes. Also he spent $17,500 of your money on dinner tickets for the straw poll, still came in 5th. That's probably like 1/4 of his total campain money.

How do you feel about this?

Ok, so he spent that money. Yet, isn't that the purpose of the money which is to be used to help his campaign which he was doing by buying dinner tickets so people could vote? Also, how much did the other candidates spend on campaigning and dinner tickets? As far as him coming in fifth place that is much better than what the mainstream media is leading us on to believe he would get. They were continually calling him a long shot and someone that only had 2%. It also shows that his supporters are not spammers like they always said. So, even if Ron Paul won this straw poll it is way to early to tell what is going to happen between now and the primary and general election. I am actually impressed that he got that much and maybe now the media will take Ron paul more seriously.

You know that he actually has about 3 million dollars, he actually only had a limited amount of time to campaign in Iowa and did a somewhat good job. As time passes, he will probably gain more support. Every hour that passes, Paul grows. Romney and other campaigns have practically already peaked. And their support is pretty shallow and can be taken away easily. While Ron paul supporters are loyal and hardcore. Eventually, the numbers will start adding up and we will have a New presidient: President Paul.

Change can happen and you can make it happen.

Hope for America, Vote Ron Paul 2008.

    I love Ron Paul!

How's about other congress-people spending MILLIONS of our money to buy votes from the parasite class?

    Or for gay prostitutes?

I'm SOOO glad you brought this up!

Google Ron Paul. See where he stands on things like taxes (OUR MONEY USURPED), or the war (OUR BOYS LIVES TAKEN). But hey...what do you care? You sit there, packing your prom-queen gut with sugar and your head full of JEEESUS!

And your daddy makes your living for you.

    WHATTHEF*CKDOYOUKNOWBOY?

Also, he's a doctor. Not another lawyer.

What are you, on someone's payroll?

    Or just a useful idiot?

Romney, backed by the money of the American Industrial-Military Complex, bought the straw poll's very expected results by spending the most money.

Do you have any idea of how much he had to spend, to win?

.......And oh yea, did you hear their was a glitch in the final count?

If you want Socialism for all Americans, vote for Romney.

If you want real Freedom, as guaranteed in the Constitution, support RON PAUL!!!!

I feel that the Republicans are doing so badly that Romney came out on top..... Ron Paul spammers thought he would come out on top, now look at things. Hopefully Ron Paul spammers will wake up. I think it doesnt matter who gets the Republican nod at this time. Also I like how Giuliani is skipping these debates and straw polls, way to go... He's toast too.

The biggest winner may have been Rudy Giuliani. Huckabee and Brownback had roughly equal showings. That means that both are still in contention to appeal to social conservatives as the "true" social conservative. We all knew that Giuliani had no hope of finishing first in Iowa in January, but there are a lot of states that Giuliani can finish first in with 30% of the vote. Winning with 30% of the vote requires enough other candidates splitting the remaining 70%. This result keeps that hope alive.

I don't care what he spends my money on as long as it helps him in his candidacy.

Hell, let him buy food or hotel room and board or anything else.

That's what the money is for, isn't it??

And how much did Romney spend to help himself win?
