facebook, can you not IM on there?

Poking is just a way of saying hi. It can get annoying if you log on and there are a lot of pokes to go through. But if you find it fun, you can have poke wars to see who can poke who the most and how long it takes the other friend to poke back. If you see a profile you like and want the person to know you were checking their profile out then you can poke them there also. There is a IM application but it has a lot of problems. Just leave a message in the e-mail or on your friends profile. Have fun!

No poking is not like im'ing. A poke is nothing really, just a click of the mouse. When you poke someone they recieve a message that no one sees but them that says ___ has poked you adn u can either poke back or ignore it.

poke is i guess a friendly way of saying hi.... no its not the same as im but it does have a aim application on facebook

Messaging and posting on their wall is the way you communicate.

I have not used poke, but the msging area is kind of like im'ing. The history of your msgs is saved, until you delete it.
