i think doing a specific layout is hard to do when you don't have all the materials ready. go to the party first, then you can better decide. you might want to take multi pics horizontal and vertical. if there is a little menu or something cute with the name of the place on it that you are allowed to have make sure you keep is safe in the car. then after all is said and done, you develop the pics and see what kind of theme it should be. :) if you all went out f or drinks, get some fun little martini stickers girls night out paper. but if you went for ice cream or had a sleep over, get that sorta stuff. :) never buy in advance for certain pages until you KNOW what the pics look like.

Definitely go to the party first, get some shots, then scrap them after.

Here are some online scrapbooking sites that have galleries. All are wonderful, with varying levels of experience.

There are also magazines that are great for ideas:

    Scrapbook Trends

    Creative Keepsakes

    Simple Scrapbooks

    Scrapbooks Etc.

(Many you can get at the grocery store)

Also, check out your local library. Mine has a ton of scrapbooking books in the 745 area. Just as the librarian to point you in the right direction. They may also have some magazines that you can copy or even check out.

And don't worry, it doesn't have to look like the "designer" stuff out there. Any effort you make will be received with warmth! I've given gifts before, especially when I was new, and they will love anything you make!

    Good luck, and don't worry!!

I totally got you on this one! Go to Michael's, it's a craft store and there they have already made scrapt book pages and all you have to do is add the pictures! Any craft store usually has this, but i really love Michael's and there selection! Plus if you want to add a sticker or two to make it more original everything you need is right there! Plus you can ask an sale associate to help! they spend all day there, they will have some good thoughts and ideas for you! Good luck! ~ Katie

If all she is asking for is the pages, go to a craft store and buy two pages of 12 x 12 paper in her wedding colors. I assume the book is a 12 x 12. Find this out if you are not sure.

I'm a graphic designer by trade and know all these projects take work. Sometimes I don't want to be bothered with something that's not practical. Usually I buy something they will use.

I made something special for my sister and her family. I bought a nice photo album with Japanese binding.

Then on he inside cover and inside back cover I pasted paper with a map of NYC. (that's where our wedding was held). Then I glued a bunch of photos in the book.

Then and on the last page, I pasted an envelope with keepsakes, wedding stickers from the art store, nyc stickers, a cd. It reminded me of colorforms that I loved as a kid. Then I wrapped it in the same paper as the maps.

Creative Memories is a scrapbook brand.. they have great ideas! My mother is a consultant, so I see EVERYTHING that comes in, everything is really simple.. it's not like sparkles and ribbons, its just easy. Their website has ideas on it, though I'm not sure how "simple" those will be, but here's the website if you'd like to give it a look!
