Sticky situation?
My friend asked me for advice and I don't know what to give so I'm asking you guys. Her sister discovered a text message in her dad's phone that said, "Dad, I'm home already." It obviously didn't come from any of her siblings or her mom so now they're thinking that their dad has another woman or an illegitimate kid they don't know about.
How should they go about it? Confront the dad? Find out the identity of the mysterious texter? Should they tell their mom what they found out?
I wouldn't know what to do in my friend's shoes either...

Look at the phone number on the caller ID on the cell phone and call back or just get the whole family together to confront the dad. I dont think its good when families keep too many secrets.

Or it could just be that somebody texted the wrong number. Why is everyone always so ready to jump to conclusions about people they say they love?
And why was your friend going through dad's cell phone? Whatever text messages he has on his phone are none of their business anyway.
Tell your friend to chill out and stop looking for drama and chaos.

Goodness do not make it so serious until you know for sure what your thinking is not just assumptions.
Tell her to tease her dad by saying something silly like...hey dad I saw a text from your "other" kid....are they any good at laundry?
Then she can start saying..."Oh Dad why can't you get your other kid to do that?"
She needs to make for certain she is talking very light heartily.
A joke can always a the tension out of a serious moment.

Slow down sweetie, this happened to us awhile ago and it was a wrong number text sent on accident. Find out if it's his by asking him. There is no sense in making a mountain out of a mole hill if you don't have all the facts.
