mormon ieals?

I was wondering what were the major ideals that mormons hold. I know something about no caffiene, but does anybody know the normal views on life, relationships, family, and sex? If it helps, the person I am learning for is from Utah.

Family come first, help others, no pre-marital sex, no tea & coffee (soda is up to the person -- I have a diet Dr. Pepper on my desk right now). Below is a link for other beliefs. It is called the "Articles of Faith."

My favorite is #13. It is important to be "honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men." If most people tried to do good, this world would be a better place. It is also very important (#12) for everyone to be concerned about "sustaining the law."

    Hope this help!

Ideally mormons believe in marrying within their own religion because that is the only way they can be married in the temple, which means they will be sealed together for eternity rather than just their time here on earth. They believe that they are to multiply and replenish the earth, which explains why Mormons have so many kids. Typically women are encouraged not to work outside of the home after marriage so they can raise a family. They don't believe in premarital sex

Well, there is a thing against caffeine (but a lot of us ignore that rule when it comes to pop), but the views on life are basically believe in God and Jesus, go to work, have family time, go to church once a week, and live healthily. I don't know what you mean by relationships (boyfriend/girlfriend, friends, family, neighbors, etc.). Family is very important to Mormons and family should always come first. Sex is taught to be after marriage.

The Mormons believe we all lived in Heaven with Heavenly Father, several Heavenly Mothers, and 20 Billion Heavenly Siblings before we were born here on Earth. Then there was a war. The good guys won and were born White. The bad guys lost and became demons. Those who were neutral or did not fight bravely were born with non-white skin. The bravest of the brave were born to Mormon families.

We all know that Romney must have been a "Valliant Warrior" in the "War in Heaven" during the "Pre-Existence". How else could he have been born "White and Delightsome" to an LDS family here on Earth? Heck, he was probably one of the Commanding Generals . Now , America needs a President with valuable military experience like that to get us through our war in Iraq. Could you please ask "The One and Only True Prophet", Gordon Hinkley, to please release those valuable records to the public? We need to know what battles he fought in. How many medals he won. How many of the "Less Valliant Soldiers" he recommended being born with black skin when they got their chance to be born on Earth. Was Al Sharpton one of THEM ? How about Jesse Jackson? Mormons, this is your chance to show the world the light of the everlasting gospel. Dont miss out. We have General Romney running for president of the USA and we need you badly right now!

Life - We believe that we all lived with God before we were born. We came to Earth to recieve bodies and be tried and tested on faith and to recieve experience. We believe that we can be saved through the Atonement of Christ by grace after all we can do.

Relationships - We are encouraged not to date until we are 16 and then to go on group dates until around 18.

Family - We are very family oriented. We believe that families can be together forever if they live righteously. We are encouraged to have a daily family meal, family prayer, and family scripture study. Once a week we have night specifically set apart for families to spend with each other.

Sex - Is only for married couples. We believe in complete abstinence before marriage, and complete fidelity after marriage.

Actually in Doctrine and Covenants it doesn't say anything about caffeine...just not to eat things that are bad for you(basically).

Life should be for God, relationships(dating?) the girl can't date until she is 16...but I'm not sure about guys. They have VERY strong family values...you can be sealed with your family so you will be with them in Heaven...and as far as sex...same as others "don't do it before you're married".

  • no methods of birth control, no sex until marriage, no dating until 16, make as many babies as you can, no caffeine, marry mormons, no cursing, .....on and on and on....

Source(s): I'm a baptized mormon but do not support all of their beliefs.....in fact i don't support most of their beliefs
