I need a laptop with a lot of power for a FEA style program and I'd like to have 2 quad core processors (or more) and 16GB RAM minimum. I haven't seen anything out there with the dual CPUs in the laptop world.

I'd like to find an IM service that works from PC to PC without having to access the internet to do so....any ideas?

I am working on a project where I need a micro controller that can be programmed via USB, RS232, or Ethernet, and can take input (commands) via RS232, RS422, or Ethernet (TCP). Only needs to "speak" one language at a time, board will be designed to be controlled by different external devices.

I have found some that speak TTL and can do other languages via an external chip, but I am trying to avoid that.

I have a 2009 Jeep Liberty Limited and I want to find out if the headlights have the switch on the ground (ground switched) or on the +12V side. I am getting Wig wags for the high beams (Fire Dept) and need to know which version to get.

I am getting a laptop and like to play games (Diablo 3 for instance) and have found 2 laptops that I like, both with an AMD Radeon graphics chip. One has a Radeon HD 6750M with 1 gig of GDDR5 discrete graphics memory and the other has "up to 3061 Total graphics memory" and the other has a Radeon HD 6620G.

I am still working on the difference in discrete vs total memory and how they handle different, but any input from people who really know graphic chips and cards would be helpful

On many good shop vacuums there is an "auto" setting where you can plug in any tool (a table saw for instance). When you turn on the saw, the vacuum "senses" the flow and turns on the suction to get rid of the dust. I am looking for a stand alone switch (relay) that would be plug and play so I can activate a light when a heater is on and I can't think of good search terms.

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla sport and it was broken into recently. They cut a slot into the driver's door down in the corner. It looks like something is in there, does anybody have a clue what the point was? They broke the passenger window but never opened the passenger door (still had glass in the door jam).

I use an HDMI cable at home, but sometimes I go out and use my PS3 like a DVD player on travel on Standard Def TVs and I don't usually remember to switch it over in the software beforehand. Is there a shortcut to default back to the supplied A/V jack?

I bought a used jeep and the rear hatch does not seem to be able to lock now. I have a friend that has a 1989 jeep with the same door and hers does the same thing. Does anybody out there know the trick to getting it to lock? The vehicle needs a bit of work still and the lock is a little rusty, but I can't even get a key into it. The button pushes and the hatch opens eaisly.
