What is in the door of a 2009 Toyota Corolla?

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla sport and it was broken into recently. They cut a slot into the driver's door down in the corner. It looks like something is in there, does anybody have a clue what the point was? They broke the passenger window but never opened the passenger door (still had glass in the door jam).

    maybe they put a remote bomb in it

    When you go get the repair done by the auto body shop or window replacement shop you can ask them.

    I suppose you put in a claim with your auto insurance company for this. It would be a comprehensive claim. Ask the claim rep or the shop.
