This is my third pregnancy. Baby has dropped but with lots of pain and curiosity for me.?
I have had two very fast labors, in saying that I have never experienced a baby "dropping". I am pretty sure my baby has done this this time , most of my belly is gone and I have an aweful scraping felling from mid-stomach down to pelvis. This has been happening for the last three days. I am watching for signs of labor. I was wanting to know these feelings are normal and how close to labor could I be? I also noticed that this allows the baby to move alot less-is that ok? How will I know things are ok with her? Thanks in advance- this really has me anxious about things.

Hiya
Yeah it sounds to me like your baby has dropped and is possibly engaged. Hence the weird feelings in your pelvis and feeling less movement.
again the baby can engage a while before labor starts.
You could always speak to your doc or mid-wife.
Take care. Good luck with the baby.

I also have three children with my first I was induced and with my second she came on her own and I felt her drop about a week before I went into labor! In my book 'What to expect when you are expecting" I do believe it said the baby can drop two 2 weeks before labor begins! and by now you should be going to the doctor weekly so not much will change in between there! If they aren't alarmed I am sure you have no reason to be!
