Fiat landrover clone?
Hi all, I just got back from Lake Garda, where I saw a fiat that looked just like a landrover clone, just a different grille.
It was an official vehicle, coast guard or similar.
Apart from the fiat badge at the front, there were no other markings - model etc.
I want to find out more, but cannot find anything on the web - does anyone know what model fiat this is please?

Thank you Damian, but no it was the spitting image of a discovery, this one looks more like a hummer I think.

It could have been a Fiat Campangola.
These are still used by some of the Italian services.

In many ways the Campangola was more advanced than other 4x4s of the time, with a monocoque structure and independent suspension all-round.

Right this is pure speculation but i found a car that looked similar to the first generation discovery called the Tata sumo. I know Fiat have an alliance with Tata so perhaps it is a Tata with a fiat badge(rather like the Ford fiesta and mazda 121). Other possiblities are that it is in fact a Land rover, but the owner felt like badging it a Fiat ( I once saw a nissan primera badged as a Ferrari)or it might possibly derive from Fiat's alliance with chinese company Nanjing. Its definetly not a Fiat sedici,panda 4x4, panda monster ,or stilo multiwagon offroad? I'll be interested to discover what it is!
