does yahoo have anyone actually read the questions or answers that get reported?

i was wondering that about the whole reporting thing. how does yahoo decide who gets deleted and who doesn't, do they have anyone looking into what could be false claims and are people accounts being deleted out of hand without anyone actually reading the answer or question?

Ohh I can tell you that they don't! I got reported for answering a question in Ethnic Cuisine about some bubble tea. What can be so offensive about bubble tea actually? Anyway, it got deleted so I mailed them a complain and asked WHY...and they emailed me back saying sorry and gave me back my 2 points but the answer was still deleted..

No; not unless you challenge the violation. I've worked in some very large-scale operations like the old Hotmail, and there's no way they're hiring a bunch of people to sit and watch all the (literally) millions of answers that are posted every day. A HUGE percentage of what places like Yahoo and Google and Microsoft and many others do is strictly handled by computers. IF you contest it, THEN it may get seen by a human being, but it will almost certainly take some time. Large-scale operations like the ones I mentioned link tens of thousands of servers all over the world, and there's no conceivable way that more than a tiny fraction of it makes it to the screen of a real, live human being.

No i don't think of they do. If sufficient human beings checklist the Q i think of it rapidly gets pulled with the aid of the powers that be. it is so annoying, pretty once you're asking a valid Q! xx

I dont think they do. I think after a statement or question is reported a certain amount of times it gets deleted. Also, if it has buzz words, I am sure we know them, it only takes one person to report it. I once asked "how much wood would a wood chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood" and it got deleted without even posting.

I have wondered about this myself and my thoughts are they don't. I just received a violation last week, emailed customer service and I got a form email today saying that's for the email. I did this months ago over 2 violations and never heard anything about either of them. They were so ridiculous, no way they violated anything, I am sure no one read them

I wonder about that too. For the amount of reports, and especially the trolls that love to report just for the heck of it, it is no way that they could possibly investigate each and every one of them

    they def don't read them

I got reported once for asking

"Is Corey Dillon a future Hall of Famer."

It's stupid, the only things that should be reported is, sevre profanity, racism, and spam.

Someone should check it, and people shouldn't report others for no reason/

I believe they have an automated type system that can pull questions when they are questionable. Most of the time, even if a claim of abuse is bogus, you still lose out anyway.

they don't check it. the unfortunate people get reported for no reason.
