I am allergic to Tide detergent and I want to try Gain Joyful Expressions. Has anyone allergic to Tide ?

has anyone allergic to Tide tried this, and what were your results?

Update:

I know about free and clear stuff, Sun, etc. I have used these. But I like the smell of the gain and am curious as to wether or not I should spend my money trying it.

My husband is allergic to TIDE. He is also allergic to alot of other scents and brands. However, Gain has proved to be okay. We used it a few times but he did not like the scent so we switched to Surf. But it did not make him break out and itch like TIDE does. I would try a small size first. Good Luck!!!

I am allergic to both Tide and Gain :( I use the Free and Clear and add a drop or two of natural essential oils to the wash. I get to pick the scent (lavender, vanilla, etc...) but it doesn't make me break out.

Are you allergic by your skin?

I have a paroxysmal fit if I walk down the soap isle at store. I can't stop gasping and sneezing at same time.

All Clear or Wisk Free is good for people with skin allergies. Try rinsing clothes twice or with first rinse put in vinegar. Pay attention to the amount of soap you use. People use way too much- always measure, and don't forget to wear clothes only two times. The sweat and soap and bacteria together on a dirty skin makes' for a rash. Soap residue destroy's the clothes' fibers.

Tide has bleach in it, and Consumer magazine says that Walmart has their brand that has the word Mountain- Spring or Fresh? in the name, and it had the enzymes and cleaning power to do the best job per their tests.

I'm allergic to Tide, have never tried Gain... but Sunlight works great and doesn't make me itch, sneeze, scratch and huff and buff cause I can't breathe... Liquid detergent also seems to be better than powder.... Sunlight even makes anti-allergic soap for sensitive skin...

I suffer from severe allergies and I'm not allergic to Tide although I have heard others say that they are as well.

No I have not tried that but I highly recommend Sun and Earth detergent which is great for your septic system, the Earth and will clean your clothes and it has no harsh chemicals for you to be allergic to. Good luck!

MY SON WAS ALWAYS ALLERGIC TO TIDE. I HAD TO USE PUREX FOR HIM, BUT YOU COULD BUY A SMALL BOTTLE OR BOX OF GAIN AND TRY THAT ON YOUR CLOTHES FIRST. IF YOU HAVE A FRIEND THAT USES IT, YOU COULD BORROW A CUP AND TRY IT THAT WAY. THAT WAY YOU WOULD NOT HAVE TO RE-WASH EVERYTHING.

    GOOD LUCK
