Just curious about something?
Would you be more upset if you found out your child was
a) Homosexual
b) Atheist
c) Muslim
d) Christian
What would you do?
A few things, by upset I mean angry, sad, or anything other than pleased as punch. Also which would make you more upset. If none of those things would bother you in even the slightest amount, even at first, I call shenanigans on you.

Muslim. I would have great difficulty with the idea of my daughter willingly putting herself under the subjugation of men.

I would be most upset with B
With homosexuality, I believe that so long as you can find love and happiness, then who am I to judge who it is with? I was brought up to be very accepting of all cultures and religions and so I see NO reason to be non-accepting of the gay community.
I myself am Chrisitan, and if I were to find out my child had converted to Muslim, yes I would be disappointed, but I would be accepting of it. I think it's hard for people today to find God in the world and if you can find Him one particular way over another, I see nothing wrong with it. Not that the Catholic religion teaches this -> but I believe that all religions are bringing us all towards the same God. Whether it be the God in my religion, your religion or the other - if it promotes UNITY of religion, unity of mankind, elimination of prejudices, world peace - I believe that if there are these similarities, then we are all working towards a common goal, and hopefully towards a common God.
But if I were to find out my child was an atheist, I'm not sure what I would do. I would try to help him/her find their way back to religion and belief in a higher power.

All four of those things are choices of a way of life or life style a person can freely choose or not. A person is not born as any of them, it is something a person picks out for themselves. If I had a preference as to which one my child chose, it would be, to be a Christian, but I can't make that child choose the one I want. If you love someone, you teach them the best you can, but in the end, it's their call.

Why would I be upset at any of those. Since you qualified it with "more upset" I would have to say d. But I wouldn't be at all upset, just disappointed. Anyone that's ever read the bible knows that in it, god is depicted as a megolomaniacal murderous and insecure dictator.

C or D would mean that I failed as a parent, since I did not give my child the tools to think and reason.
A would just mean that there would be many people who would hate him/her - but that evil is mostly the result of other people's kids being C and D.

Honestly, I wouldn't be mad at any of these choices you named. Maybe sad with a couple of them, but not mad. As I will still love my child.

I would be more upset if my child forgotten God and not love or follow him, cause his course is hell, i would pray God take him home early before my child ever turns from you

A) Homosexual. Not because I have a problem with that, only because they would have the hardest time with that in this country. :(

No, I'd be no more upset than I am right now. What's your point?
