If any religious movement puts physical concerns of such trival physical matters above spiritual, then it is not spiritual, it is not pure in its source, since God is a pure loving source.

If an individual was more spiritual in nature, he or she would feel fulfilled and not have wantings of sexual physical fulfillments, and licensed to perform such acts.

Does it matter if your male neighbor loves a male friend, if they never discuss this with anyone?

But, when they get to the point to where they want something on paper to claim material wealth, or to claim another human being as "theirs" and "only theirs" Then this is not spiritual intent, this is physical ownership. And physical ownership is against pure intentions.

Even a marriage between a man and wife can entail physical ownership over another being, and this is wrong for spiritual work. When a person is given a "license" of ownership over another, it is wrong and likewise should be addressed. Now that todays views are corrupt, marriage should not be an honorable undertaking. No one should have rights to own another.

If marriage is abolished tomorrow because people are becoming more spiritual, and a partnership should have rights on paper, such as material wealth they equally shared in acquiring, they can have a living trust drawn up. They are written only for material gatherings which neither person owns themselves, instead they give up their individualities and become a corporate style entity "united" in a legal sense. So when one out lives the other, the other partner of the union is trustee who has rights to the wealth, not an out right ownership.

So, if one of the same sex or not, wants a license to "own" another it shouldn't be an honorable thing to do. Gay individuals should consider living trusts if it is only a material gathering that concerns them.

I do not read the Bible, but there is supposedly there is a passage that decrees it to be sinful. My best friend is a gay man, and he truly loves his life partner. They had a wedding, not in a church for this reason. But he thinks that God knew what he was doing by making him the way he is so that he can love and be loved as he is now. Most Christians are disgusted by this, but I think along the same lines as my friend. Where God decides to place you is where I think you belong.
