Depends. I would repeat it and see if it is still elevated. It also depends if there are any other medical conditions going on in the background. It may not end up meaning much, but it cannot be ignored. Talk to your doctor and make sure it gets worked up.

It can be the signs of something like kidney disease, or it can be a benign condition like orthostatic proteinuria. It depends on other labs like your BUN/Creatinine. They may also want to do a kidney ultrasound. Your doc should do further testing.
