Here's something about the origins of the faery tradition:

The faery tradition in wicca was founded by Victor Anderson and Gwydion Pendderwen. It's an exstatic tradition with a large emphasis on sexual mysticism. They do not have much problems to initiate homosexuals and lesbians either. Anderson claims to have been sexually initiated in the Harpy Coven (Ashland, Oregon) by an old woman. During this initiation he saw a peculiar vision. In the 70s he founded Nemeton, a pagan network, but in 1978 they fused with the Church of All Worlds (http://www.caw.org/). Also important is a reforestation project by Pendderwen in the 70s called Forest Forever.

One of the main priestesses Miriam Simos, or Starhawk, has written many books about their tradition and she has her own website: http://www.starhawk.org/

Gnostic is right. That tradition is very secretive. You may find basic info online, but you most likely will not find the inner secrets there or in most books you find in the stores. Go to the Witches' Voice, you may find someone there who can help you. I don't suggest looking through forums like this or groups online until you and your daughter have a more working knowledge of what the tradition is about.

I am on the Faerie Wiccan path. I am very new to it but something I can suggest is that you buy her the Faerie Oracle by Brian Froud. It is a set of Tarot cards and helps to connect with the Fae. His website is www.worldoffroud.com. It is an amazing wonderful resource and I have found it incredibly valuable.

Also if there is any way I can help please feel free to contact me.
