I agree that our priorities in this country are out of order. I care about animals and I think that animal abusers are despicable. However, human beings are murdered every day and no one blinks an eye. I think the media likes to focus on stories that will attract more attention (celebrities, rich/powerful people, etc.) rather than what really matters.
