Texas Mutual Combat Laws?
I understand that in Texas, if two people agree to mutual combat (fist fight only) and sign a form with their names, location and date of the fight, then no criminal or civil suit can be brought against either one of them for damages done. Is there any validity to that? I have read section 22.01 and 22.06 and see that if no "serious" bodily injury is inflicted then it's true, but it doesn't cover if you knock a tooth out or something like that... If not, under what laws are sanctioned fights like MMA and boxing covered by?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow come the majority of liberals are pro-abortion yet anti-death penalty?
They call the killing of innocent children a right but ridding society of a murderer a crime....
10 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHas anyone else had this problem with Buy Owner?
Where in order to log on to change your information on www.buowner.com you have to sign a new contract that basically nullifies your original one. They call it a "courtesy" to maintain your account after you pay 800 dollars for their least expensive plan (much higher for others) and one thing that's promised is it will be listed until the property is sold. I am thinking about a class action lawsuit. Any others out there who want to go in on it?

Give up? It was ole' Bushie-boy. Something else he said.
"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator" -- George W. Bush, December 18, 2000

BTW neo-cons are not real conservatives. I am as right wing as you get. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. Just warhawk llibtards.
6 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoConfessions of an Economic Hitman?
Who else sees the correlation with China's actions here in the U.S. as with what is purported in this book? In summary the book claims (and the claims fall in place with current events) that the U.S. has "consulting" corporations whose sole niche is to enslave other countries by offering them help in building infrastructure, securing them loans to achieve them as long as they go through American engineering and construction companies, inflate the interest on the loans to the point they WILL go into bankruptcy, then take the project over and continue to accrue interest so it will never be paid off. China is making loans to us that we will never be able to pay off so we can buy more of their crap, then threaten us that it will dump our currency on the global market to devalue it, therefor making our money more worthless than what it already is. Looks like American business is losing at it's own game.

4 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhen will the french learn???
When you allow a group in to your country who are unwilling to assimilate, who want to blame the indigent people of their "adopted" land for all their shortcomings and failures in life and call them everything from racists to xenophobes, and then to riot when an accident happens as in the case in the news now, then you are just as much to blame as the scum who did it. WAKE UP!!!! The 3rd worlders are ruining in a generation what it took our forefathers centuries to build. Is this the society you want to pass down to your children? It's time to take our countries back for OUR PEOPLE. And let them have complete control of theirs.
6 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWho cares what the mexican president says about a border fence?
Are we not still a sovereign nation? It's time for isolationism again. We've seen what this "inclusion" of other nations in our political process has gotten us. Nothing but sell out politicians who will bend over backwards to appease some dirt country that doesn't have anything to offer in return.
11 AnswersOther - News & Events1 decade agoWhat's the point of spending a billion dollars on " combating gang violence"?
When they will keep allowing those from 3rd world countries, which comprise over 90% of all gang members, to continue pouring across the border? They're just throwing money at a problem they know nothing of how to fix, or want to try to appease everyone, illegals included. And as long as libtards and neo-conjobs are in control of the legislative branch we will continue to see "solutions" that have no end and will never solve anything.
1 AnswerCurrent Events1 decade agoIt's funny to see?
the "protest" for the "jenna six" is full of nothing more than fools striking a pose for the camera. Just take a look at the pics. Hilarious. Wonder if the head ***** in charge drove her Jaguar the fools who sent money in bought her.
3 AnswersOther - News & Events1 decade agoThe "jena six" are nothing more than two bit thugs...?
who jumped a lone white boy. Any group that jumps a lone person deserves to get aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder charges pinned on them. Cowardly little punks, but then again, I've never seen black or brown fight one on one. Tribal mentality.
15 AnswersOther - News & Events1 decade agoWho would knowingly and willingly sign up to serve in the military now?
When time and time again our own government turns on the people it sends to war zones and drums up charges on them. I served a stint in the Army and am so glad I'm out now, because I would be one of them on trial now. I would in no way ever re-up if I were in it now. No wonder they're having a hard time meeting recruiting goals. In times of war, it's about self-preservation at whatever costs. When you are being fired on, YOU FIRE BACK AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER.
9 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhose tired of hearing about New Orleans?
The Gulf was hit just as hard. Wasn't just flooding, it was entire communtities blown down, uprooted. Rita was more of the same. The difference? The residents actually got out and did something on their own. You saw them on the news, chainsaw in hand clearing debris. In a couple of weeks you saw houses being rebuilt. Granted there are some in New Orleans that are trying to make a start. But most are bitching about not getting another handout. I have to "work" with one of them after that, a mercy hiring. I say that cause he sits on his *** the entire day and gets away with it. He screwed FEMA out of 3, THREE, bedroom suites they were giving away and sold 2 of them. Got insurance money for the house he was living in and then bitched about the "gubament" not wanting to tear it down for FREE. Crime has risen in every community they've moved to. I think it says a lot about THEM rather than US.

1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoHow many think that the insurgents in Iraq are cowards because they use IED's...?
but think it's ok for the US to use air support and do not call them cowards? I have nothing but the highest regard for our troops (I served in the Army), I know they did not ask to be sent to that hellhole, but there is some hypocrisy to this reasoning. In warfare, you use what's at your disposal. I agree that the insurgents are cowards for targeting civilians, but that's another story.

1 AnswerOther - Health1 decade agoHow many others have heard of this case and the disregard by the mainstream media?
And do you think that the "hate crime" statutes will be applied in this obvious case? Or do you think that it will be yet another case of black on white crime that gets swept under the rug while whites get the book thrown at them
5 AnswersMedia & Journalism1 decade agoHow many others think that multiculturalism has or will destroy America?
No country has ever withstood two competing cultures and languages vying for control because of the tension, conflict and antagonism created. And it is usually the outside cultures that breed this, because they want an ever widening feeling of control. And for those who say America never had it's own culture, it was self-sufficiency, a sense of community, and basic tenets of European farming and tradesmen culture. Notice how all that has left now that "celebrating our differences" has become the buzz topic?
