Whose tired of hearing about New Orleans?

The Gulf was hit just as hard. Wasn't just flooding, it was entire communtities blown down, uprooted. Rita was more of the same. The difference? The residents actually got out and did something on their own. You saw them on the news, chainsaw in hand clearing debris. In a couple of weeks you saw houses being rebuilt. Granted there are some in New Orleans that are trying to make a start. But most are bitching about not getting another handout. I have to "work" with one of them after that, a mercy hiring. I say that cause he sits on his *** the entire day and gets away with it. He screwed FEMA out of 3, THREE, bedroom suites they were giving away and sold 2 of them. Got insurance money for the house he was living in and then bitched about the "gubament" not wanting to tear it down for FREE. Crime has risen in every community they've moved to. I think it says a lot about THEM rather than US.

Update:

O.K. I'm sorry for my syntax error. I know New Orleans is on the Gulf, I'm one of the 2 in 5 Americans that can pick the U.S. on a globe. Biloxi, AND they had what, a half a week to EVACUATE? But you can't deny the fact they made a bad situation worse by rioting and especially the roving gangs afterwards. Too bad there were news crews. The rest of the population that wasn't part of the problem might have been able to fix the problems for good.

I am completely tired of New Orleans, Ray Naegen and his chocolate city....when Fargo flooded in 1995 and everyone lost their homes there was no rioting, nasty press conferences blaming the president....there were only people working together to get their lives back together instead of playing the blame game and looking for a free handout...

    Mistakes in the question:

    1. It's "who's tired..." not "whose tired".

    2. New Orleans is on the gulf

    3. Didn't mention that New Orleans is mentioned a lot because it's a major city. Would you rather hear about how bad an empty field got flooded?

    4. Getting out wasn't quite that easy

I am kinda tired of hearing about it, but its better then the updates on Lindsay, Britney, and Paris. In a few weeks we'll be told to 'Remember 9/11' Like we forgot or something!

Yes, I'm very tired of it. I'm tired about hearing about Katrina in all. But, thats what I get for living on the Mississippi coast i guess.
