Ever been duped by an eBay scammer?

Has anyone ever dealt with an ebay scammer. I have listed a mobile phone and only expect to get no more than £100 at most. There is scammers bidding upto and above £1000 for the same and similar phones. They are soo obvious but ebay doesn't seem to be dealing with it until the auction ends. I want to know if I can stop it happening to me if it happens when the auction is live. This is costing time and money. How did you deal with them?

You have an option to Cancel Bids, so just keep an eye on your listing and cancel any bids that you think are not genuine.

Put a buy it now price on. Make sure the bidders have more than 10 rating apart from that theres not much you can do and like the other person say you can cancel any suspect looking bids before the end

    There are several options

You can report them to ebay, cancel their bid or just not allow them to bid on your item.

    I reccomend all three

you can block specific members if you don't like the look of them, i always block users with very low feedback until they supply me with there land line phone number and full postal address, if they are genuine then they won't have a problem supplying there details....

I don't see how that would affect you.

Why would you care unless you're mad that they aren't bidding up to 1000 for YOUR phone, which it kinda sounds like it might be the case.

Also, that seems pretty high for a cell phone unless of course you're selling an iphone. I think you just want someone to give you thousands of pounds and are angry at the scammers.

You can always report them you know?
