Pregnant again?

I have a 3 1/2 month old. I am breastfeeding and supplementing. I am on Camila birthcontrol pills. What is the probability that I will get pregnant since this is a one hormone b/c pill prescribed so that it wouldn't diminish my milk supply.

It is very unlikely if you are exclusively breastfeeding and taking the mini pill.

It's more likely if you are supplementing with formula since there is a corollary between the volume of milk your baby is taking in and the hormones that suppress ovulation.

Every person's body is different. While nursing is a great form of birth control, it is possible to get pregnant before you have your first postpartum period. That's why you're on the mini pill now.

If the rate of supplementation you're giving your child goes up and your nursing volume goes down, the mini pill will be less effective. All the more reason to keep nursing as much as possible (if you want to avoid pregnancy.)

If you take the pill at EXACTLY the same time each day, your chances of not becoming pregnant are much better.

Have you and your husband ever considered to use condoms? At list tempotary. Then you don't have to worry about pills at all.

If you don't want to get pregnant again, don't take any chances. Even the slightest chance can result in becoming pregnant again.

Does your husband bear any responsibility for birth control? While you're breast feeding, is it out of the realm of reason for this man to wear a condom? Does it even occur to you to include him in solving this problem? Seriously.
